I got a call from home just now.. It was my brother.. He said "terror has struck again".. Huh? What?
If you would refer to my blog entry dated Jan 21, 2004, my old Nokia 3310 handphone was stolen right inside my room.. And my family and I suspected that it was by a close relative of ours, R.. Guess what happened today.. R came over to our home in Shah Alam this morning.. My brother happened to skip school so he was around to tend to him.. Then he made the ultimate mistake of going upstairs, leaving R alone downstairs.. Then a couple of minutes later, my brother came down to see the door was wide open and R was out of sight.. And so was my video camcorder that I got as a birthday gift from Mr. Uncle :P
Of course I feel a bit peeved because it did cost Mr. Uncle a bomb.. But on the other hand, I don't think I really mind that much :P Like I said in my Feb 22, 2004 blog entry, I don't really fancy the camcorder.. It's kind of surreal because before I came back to college last Sunday, I did take a good look at it and decided against bringing it to college.. Little did I know that that was meant to be the last time I would see my camcorder.. sigh..
Fortunately(?), nothing else was found missing so I guess it was the sole casualty this time around.. I imagine Mr. Uncle would be furious if he found out that I had left the camcorder back at home when he insisted that I brought it to college to "record my precious moments".. Well, I guess it's just not my luck.. Tak ada rezeki.. It's not meant to be mine.. Like a few other things I used to have..
My network's at it again.. Yesterday the IT guy came over to activate my line and I was granted with an hour of uninterrupted, blissful Internet connection.. Then after I left for class, he came back to recheck my connection and somehow it got lost again.. So now although my network card's functioning properly again, there's no data streaming through.. So in effect, everybody else can see my computer connected to the network, but I can't see other people's computers.. How much more odd can it be? I've sort of lost all hope of getting my laptop connected anyway, so I don't really care right now.. Besides, I kind of miss hanging out at IT Lab 2 after classes, with the speakers blaring out my favourite songs.. I'm getting pretty used to it by now..
But my only gripe is having to wait for all my other chaletmates to go to bed first - usually after midnight - before getting to use the computer in my chalet :P
