I've got my new laptop! :D
It's an Acer Aspire 5541ANWXCi with an extra 256MB of RAM and original Windows XP Home Edition.. But the most important feature of all is it has built-in wireless support! Now I have my internet back!! :D
You see, my house is right at the back of a Petronas pump station which has a restaurant that offers wireless internet access.. Unfortunately the signal isn't strong enough to be used inside my house.. So what I (am currently) do(ing) now is I sit on a comfy lounge chair at my front yard with my laptop on and after carefully positioning it towards the direction of the pump station - voila! - I'm back in business.. Of course there are slight problems with typing in the heat/dark - depending on the time of day - and feeding the mosquitos but after my eyes start to adjust and I've been bitten a gazillion times, I'm sure I'll get to used to it :P
So far, things have been going pretty well for me.. I've replaced my broken glasses.. I bought my first pair of casual high heels.. My mom's been teaching me how to use toners and moisturizers.. LOL.. I've been cooking more often (but that doesn't mean I'm improving much).. Once I've got my replacement MyKad (I lost mine at Langkawi), I can continue my abandoned driving lessons from last year.. And I'll be starting my teaching job next week..
Life is good.. Alhamdulillah :)
