Just got back from Paris, Brussels and Bruges :)
First I thought of using my own digital camera but let's face it.. The quality's not good and I'll just end up taking hundreds of blurred images anyway so I decided not to bother.. So basically my friends took my pictures using their flashy cameras :)
I'll tell you about the trip once I get those pictures, OK?
I just found out that a prominent Malaysian chess website Petak64 has just linked to my blog! What?? OMG, the publicity.. *drool*.. LOL.. I'm very flattered whenever people link to my blog so thanks :)
But of course, if you're looking for chess news, you've got the wrong blog.
Well, OK, just to inform those who aren't regular readers, my name is Norhidayah Azman.. Now I'm in Southampton University studying BSc Computer Science for the next 3 years.. I used to join a lot of chess tournaments in Malaysia, particularly the National Age-Groups.. My brother's Muhammad Taufik Azman, who also plays chess.. He's now studying for a diploma in Mechanical Engineering in UiTM Bukit Mertajam.. Due to our studies, we both haven't played as much as we used to.. I play for my university's B team in the Hampshire county league's 3rd division.. We have matches almost every week where we either host home games or travel to play the away games.. My performance so far is mediocre, although I really like kicking British arse winning games here.. Malaysia Boleh.. I think my Malaysian national rating is around 1500 and at the (slow) rate that I'm going, it's probably not going to move very much :P
And BTW, I was recently elected as the uni's chess club president :)
OK, only 6 people came for the AGM and everybody ended up holding a post anyway :P
So yeah, that's all the chess-related stuff I could think of.. To chess enthusiasts reading this, I'm afraid this is as far as it goes.. The only chess-sy stuff you'll find after this is how I'll be chasing countless people just to manage the chess club.. muehehehe.. *evil smirk* :P
