Have you watched episodes of X-Files, where there's a solitary light source beaming through a misty night, sucking human beings up into the sky?
Well, that's the exact image I was getting while my mom was driving us home from shopping tonight.. Well, minus the extra-terrestrial stuff.. Who knew that I would freak out over lamp posts in the middle of a hazy night? :P
Apparently, Shah Alam is third on the list of the most hazardous cities because of the haze.. And since haze emergencies have been declared in both Port Klang and Kuala Selangor - Deadly Cities No. 1 and 2 respectively - it's only logical to assume that Shah Alam would be next.. Sigh.. Since I've been oblivious to the extent of the haze by remaining cooped up at home for the last few days, tonight's shopping trip really brought me back to reality.. My eyes were irritated and I had difficulty breathing, yet I was actually inside the hypermarket! Yeah, apparently some of the smoke crept into the building as well..
News reports say the situation isn't going to improve for some time.. Sigh :(
