Sorry for the long hiatus.. I've been busy with my studies.. Well, not to say that I'm less busy now but I think a post is long overdue..
My bag got stolen!
Right after my Mechanics exam last Friday, I found out that my bag which I left outside the hall was missing.. My purse and handphone was inside it, so no words could describe how I felt at that time.. Pn. R saw me frantically looking for it and when I told her that my bag's gone, she immediately called the security guards and demanded an explanation.. Both the female Indian and Malay guards met with us.. The latter exasperatedly defended her innocence (and presumably her job) so all of us thought the culprit must've been a student.. F and Z were there to console me but I just became numb..
I met up with Z at the RC and used his phone to call DiGi to bar my phone line.. I'm registered under their SIM Guard program so I could save my existing number and my remaining credit balance.. Then I went back to my chalet and logged onto its online customer service.. I checked out my itemized bill online and I found out that at 2.45pm, a call was made from my phone, when my Mechanics exam was from 2.15pm to 3.30pm! It couldn't have been a student because the invigilator would've kept an eye on everybody who walked out of the exam hall.. My chaletmate, I, called the foreign number and reached a young, Indian guy.. The way she called him was hilarious though.. "Hello, ni Ahmad ke? Eh, ni bukan nombor Ahmad ye? Oh, sorry, wrong number." :D
Then the female warden came to our chalet, informing us that the bag had been found.. (Apparently, Pn. R called a lot of people to get hold of me - from Abg L in the RC to my other chaletmate in KL :P).. The bag was retrieved by security guards who found it in the Great Hall's female toilet, inside one of the water tanks.. My purse and handphone were inside the bag as well, and Pn. R gave back them to me - after reassuring me that the tank water was clean :P
All I can say is alhamdulillah! Even Pn. R told me to be thankful because nobody thought that I was going to get back my stolen items!
And to all of you out there, including all Hotlink and Celcom subscribers, I only have this to say :
DIGI ROCKS! I LOVE DIGI! Muehehe.. :P
So yesterday I hitched a ride on the college bus to Mid Valley and then went to DiGi's customer service centre in Times Square.. By 11am, I had my new SIM card.. Woohhooo!! So since I had loads of time to kill before leaving, I went to see the movie Madagascar and went shopping for groceries.. I browsed through Borders, arguably the largest bookstore in Malaysia and had lunch at the food court which was nicely decorated but was unfortunately pretty empty, probably due to its location on the 10th floor :P After that, I hitched a ride with E back to college in her family's swanky car :)
You can say my weekend was pretty eventful.. It definitely took my mind off studies for a while :P
