Accounts of an Adolescent

Sorry for not updating much.. I've finally got my Computing A2 project submitted.. yeay! Well, actually not all of my project.. I purposely missed out the complete codes of my new system because I found out that it's 200 pages long and I'm still thinking twice about using up what's left of my printer's ink so I'm leaving it until next Monday.. When the cartridge will miraculously fill up with ink all on its own.. yeah.. uhuh.. :P

Anyway, Muslimah Night was quite OK.. The Miss KYUEM event turned out to be another dreary event, not unlike the Miss World pageants you see on TV, where all the pretty ladies strut their stuff on stage and spew politically-correct answers to each and every question.. I ended up eating roti planta with R in the cafe for the whole event.. hehe.. But having R in the cafe was quite an event too.. She was wearing a head scarf and the moment she walked in, half of the crowd that was gathering at the cashier just stared at her.. They were completely speechless.. It was as if they were under her spell, really :P

Last Sunday I went to KLCC.. As a belated birthday present, M paid for lunch.. Then I went to see arguably the best Malay movie of the decade, Sepet.. Then at night, there was Islamic Cultural and Arts Night (ICAN).. I personally prefer the Muslimah Night more.. I think the fashion show was far more enjoyable than the sketch the guys put up.. I couldn't hear their mumbled dialogues at all :P

On Tuesday afternoon, we seniors took our Veritas picture for the yearbook.. The suggested theme was 'creative and outrageous', so almost everybody went out in full force.. R had some kind of Arabic robe on (I think).. J wore bunny ears.. A wore his Darth Vader ensemble.. One H became an American soldier for a day and the other H wore a white shirt, yellow tie and grey boxers.. Mr. F had on his befuddled look, looking at all the looney people around him.. Me? I wore a bright yellow crown with red fluffy feathers on top (courtesy of FI) with 'TYRANT' written on it, and used my patchwork blanket as a cape :P

Sigh.. I love my Veritas crew :)

So right now I'm at home! I'm taking part in the National Age-Group Chess Championships.. In a way, it's an excuse for me to skip class for 2 days.. hehe.. After all that work on my Computing, I could use a good break.. But it also means I'd miss the Malaysian Oldies event tomorrow night :(
