I won another point today.. So I got a total of 3 points out of 5, losing to the top 2 winners of my U-20 girls category..
So today marks the end of my foray into the National Age-Group Chess Championships.. I've joined this annual competition since I was in Form 2.. Many opportunities were given and lost.. I'll forever regret the year 2003, when I was seeded first in my category, yet due to my overconfidence, I slumped into 4th place.. That proved to be a costly mistake, because I never did get another chance to shine again..
Nonetheless, I know that despite everything, getting 3rd place in my final outing is good enough for me.. There's so many what-ifs in my head, but I'll just have to accept that the past is past and the only way forward is to learn from my mistakes..

BTW, my brother won a medal in his category too.. So I guess it's a pretty good day for the family of 'Anak-Anak Azman' :)
