This past week, I've been busy catching up with my Computing A2 project.. Gosh, at this rate I don't think I can finish it on time.. I'm having so much trouble dealing with even the basics of my new system and I only have 2 weeks to go.. Ack!
But another reason why I haven't devoted much time to Computing - well, apart from hardcore Net surfing - is tomorrow's Malaysia vs. Singapore chess challenge.. Wooohhoooo.. I was really worried that I wouldn't get called up this year but when I received the official letter from MCF, I was jumping with joy :)
Of course, tomorrow might just be another story altogether :P
I've been scouting on Singapore's female team and a slew of them were higher ranked than me.. Then I looked at how we fared in last year's 4 boards per category challenge.. It seems like their Women, Under-20 Girls and Under-18 Girls are their weakest link, losing from 2.5-1.5 to 4-0 at times.. They also had a tendency to switch players up and down the tables and categories over the 2 rounds while our Malaysian team stuck with the same people for most of the games..
I only started practising yesterday, which doesn't sound like good preparation at all.. I lost most of my games while playing in Yahoo! Chess.. I hope MCF won't mind much if I drop a point or two this weekend :P
Hmm.. I wonder how would the Singaporeans feel about spending Christmas in busy, downtown Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman where they're staying :/
In 2002, Malaysia lost by 5 points.. In 2003, we lost by 10 points..
In 2004?
