I've finished my Physics AS paper 1.. I wouldn't say it was that easy, but I'm so glad that I went through the past years' papers over and over again.. There were a few questions which were almost identical.. Maybe the good people from CIE ran out of new material or something.. Anyway, I'm not complaining :)
Aidilfitri's just around the corner.. This weekend to be exact.. Can't wait.. Apparently most of my relatives in KL aren't going back to our hometown in Ipoh and Alor Setar, so they've chosen my home as their makeshift 'kampung'.. Hehe.. At home, they were making ketupat, a staple festive dish this time of year.. I actually managed to weave two casings, albeit after 3 failed attempts.. Hey, it's not easy, OK?
My cousin AY is getting married on the 18th.. (Why does everything have to happen right smack in the middle of my exams?).. My mom's been doing the backdrop for the pelamin or dais for his wedding ceremony.. It's a lovely mix of lime and beige drapes, with large yellow flowers at the top corners.. The groom will wear green on his big day, so that explains the colour selection, although the choice of beige might've been highly influenced by my mom's origins (read: negeri Hijau Kuning) :P
My mom's a pro at making all sorts of wedding crafts.. Baskets, bunga telur (egg flowers :P), hantaran (wedding gifts).. She's been doing them for relatives, friends, neighbours, etc. for years now.. Then there was this one time when I asked her whether she'd do them for my wedding ceremony.. (Eh, wait, hello, I'm not getting married tomorrow, OK?)
And then you know what she said? "I'll just buy them at a wedding shop." :P
