Accounts of an Adolescent

3 down one more to go.. I'm left with my Physics paper 1 tomorrow afternoon and after that, I'm freeeeee.. Well, temporarily, at least :P This is just the mocks, I know.. But the end of any exam is liberating one way or another :)

I've sent some articles to Veritas for publishing and I found out something really surprising.. The juniors' editorial team was actually rejecting articles.. Why? That remains to be told.. During the Veritas last night, I was shocked to learn that out of the 20+ articles handed over, only 10 - ten - got forwarded to Mr. F for final editing.. That's 1 in 2 articles rejected.. Heck, I call myself the ultimate dictator in Veritas and yet even I didn't have the guts to actually reject other people's articles.. In fact, I think that's one of the reason why Veritas keeps getting into trouble for publishing supposedly edit-able pieces :P Man, this won't do.. They're actually having more power than I did.. Tsk.. But then again, I had a field day blasting them off last night for writing 'meat'-less articles.. Heh, Mr. F actually left the meeting mid-way just to fetch the new editor, A from his drama practice.. hahaha.. See.. Now that's what I call power..

So, OK.. I'm probably having a power trip right now.. But it just irks me that the last time I wanted to contribute articles for Veritas, A resoundingly told me that this was supposed to be a juniors-only edition.. So now that the seniors have given them their room for freedom, what have they got to show? Quoting Mr. F, 'light-hearted, humourous fare'.. OK, no offence.. These juniors are pretty good writers.. But I think they've gotten the meaning of 'Write whatever you want!' a tad too loosely :P

Today was the mock exam for Accounting paper 2.. As predicted, all the Accounting students did my previous June AS paper.. I've told most of them what the questions were all about, but that still didn't prepare them much for the killers questions that they faced.. Along the way, I think I might've deviated a few people's strategies from properly answering the questions.. I found the 2nd out of the 3 questions hard, but almost everybody thought that the 3rd was the hardest, so I guess it didn't help them much when they used my past strategy of skipping Q2 to get right to Q3.. hehehe..

I can't wait to get home, actually.. Life's been a rut these past few days..
