Yesterday, I got the results for my AS exams in June.. And I got As for both my Accounting and Maths AS papers!! Woooohhhhhoooooo!!! Oh, the joy.. I still have to pinch myself from time to time because I simply cannot believe that I got an A for my Accounting.. I was dead positive that I would be resitting the paper in November.. Looks like I can kiss those Accounting books goodbye now.. Muahahahaha..
Tonight also marked the end of my 'reign' as Veritas's chief editor.. *Sob*.. OK, so maybe I like being a dictator.. But still, it's hard to let go of something you've poured your heart and soul into.. And guess who the new editor is? It's my pet brother, A! ** Whispers of 'cronism' abound ** Hey, hey.. There were 3 suitable candidates for the top post, including my petbro.. Was it a crime for me that I raised my hand in favour of him?
Well, maybe a few people got influenced by my vote.. heh :)
Most of my friends have wireless internet connection now.. They can even use mIRC without any firewalls.. On the other hand, I still have to contend with our college's slow ground network cables since my laptop doesn't have a wireless network card.. Sigh..
Up next.. Computing test, interhouse chess tournament, Petronas's welcoming dinner, Alumni Weekend, deadline for personal statement, Veritas, batch yearbook.. And I still haven't even started on my revision for my AS exams in November..
But you know what, despite all the complaining, I can't help but feel that I'm very blessed.. There was a time in my life not long ago when I thought that the whole world was turning against me.. Now, things couldn't have turned out any better.. Alhamdulillah.. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.. Easier said than done, I know.. But that's the reality of life.. God has never laid on us a burden which we do not have the strength to bear.. So when problems come our way, just hang in there.. Focus 1% on the problem and 99% on the solution instead of the other way around..
There's always a silver lining in every cloud :)
