OK, I'm back at college now.. Classes resumed today and what a way to start off the new semester :P
This morning, I felt pretty awkward because the hallways were strangely quiet while I was on the way to class.. When I got there, I found out that my clock was actually late by 5 minutes :P Apart from that, I had on my sandals instead of my court shoes :P
In Physics, Mr. S had a cork tied to a length of string and proceeded to demonstrate angular motion to the class by swinging the cork around.. "What would happen if I let this string go?" he asked.. We didn't have to wait for long because he duly slipped the string through his fingers and the cork flew straight to H :P Then he repeated the process and by then I was already hiding under the table.. Literally.. And what do you know.. The cork came to my direction, flying right through where I would've sat, skimming my chair before falling onto the floor.. If I hadn't ducked under the table, it would've been a perfect bullseye for Mr. S :P
In English, Mr. Z told us that 6 of us would change classes with another 6 students from Mrs. F's class.. Those in his class would undergo a one-month fast track programme to prepare for IELTS in August, while the other 6 would sit for it in November.. The way Mr. Z went around chucking these 6 was quite funny.. He said that he already had a list of 6 people and before he personally called out their names, he wanted to see if there was anyone who wanted to volunteer for Mrs. F's class.. It's as if he expected us to telepathically read his mind and if necessary, pack our bags :P After 6 students walked through the door, his eyes started to turn red and watery.. He was crying.. I especially sensed his sadness when out of the blue, "They're going to a better teacher," he muttered.. He even said "Wait till you become a teacher!" to my dumbfounded classmate, P.. I tried asking Mr. Z how hard is it to lose your students, but somehow I never got an answer..
I had a few free blocks after the first couple of morning classes, so luckily I had the time to go back to my chalet and retrieve my court shoes :P
Veritas is coming out tonight.. Because there were less than 90 copies available, I decided to distribute them to the juniors first.. I'm sure the seniors can wait.. There's another 200+ copies for the next batch of printing.. Besides, it is supposed to be a juniors' edition anyway, right? Hopefully the seniors will be OK with it..
Yeah, right.
