I don't know whether I'm being supernice to the juniors or I'm just plain naive :P
As of this moment, I still haven't had a decent conversation with any juniors and I'm already hearing so much negative vibes about them.. There was this one junior who was deemed spoilt because she went looking for the warden after finding too many ants in her chalet.. Then the junior boys were found using the sidewalk along the girls' chalets.. The senior non-Bumi students commented on how rude their juniors were.. During the morning jogs, they were slowing down the field just to chat with each other at the back of the pack.. And apparently the juniors aren't warming up well to their signature hunt.. They're told to get signatures from the SC, house captains, teachers, staffs and seniors.. From what I heard, they just asked for signatures selectively, meaning they're taking the liberty to choose which ones they want to look for.. Apart from that, they don't even bother to ask for our courses, sponsors and old schools, unlike what our batch did last year..
Apparently, it wasn't just the seniors who were a bit displeased about Veritas's small and almost covert distribution.. The juniors were complaining about it too.. Those ungrateful kids.. Don't they know that not even the seniors have one? A couple of the induction week's facilitators came up to me to ask for more copies and I had to explain to them that there would be another 200 copies available tomorrow.. Well, hopefully :P
No wonder the seniors are all up in arms about the juniors.. Me? Well, I don't know how to respond, actually.. In the beginning, I thought that the grouses brought up by the seniors were quite petty, like when they said our juniors were all nerds :P Up to this day, I believe that the reason why our batch was so enthusiastic about receiving the juniors is to stamp their mark and show their authority.. So in a way, it did colour the way I perceived my friends' comments on our juniors.. But after hearing all these things about them, I can't help but reconsider my point of view.. Are the seniors being overly harsh with their words, or are the juniors about to turn our peaceful world in KYUEM a living hell?
OK, so that last bit might've been an exaggeration :P
Like I said, I haven't personally spoken to any one of the juniors yet, so all these assumptions are based purely on hearsay and gossip.. I'm trying my best to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if they start to mess around with my Veritas, hell hath no fury..
