Yesterday I sat for the MUET exam.. The reading paper was boring.. There were 50 questions that needed to be answered in 2 hours, meaning I had 2.4 minutes to answer each question.. Every multiple-choice question.. So I decided to take my time.. I did the paper at such a snail-like pace.. And I thought I was successfully killing time before I saw some of my friends leaving the hall one by one.. Darn.. We were allowed to leave earlier! I couldn't follow suit because due to my 'ingenious' strategy, I still hadn't transferred all my answers to the answer sheet :P So I just had to control myself and do my paper properly while people starting whizzing past me one-by-one.. Grr..
It wasn't until I was doing the second paper of the day that I realized I haven't printed the thank you letter Mr. R wanted from me!!! During the 10-minute break, I practically ran from the exam hall to my chalet.. After printing that one piece of A4 paper, I ran back to Mr. R's desk.. Only to find him not there.. It was almost 12.30pm so I gathered he must've gone home.. Gulp..
At night, I went for Evening With Garnet.. At first I was told that I'd be participating in the main event, Spooky Race, some sort of fusion between Amazing Race and Fear Factor.. But a few hours before the race, I was dropped.. Instead I was told to join the Eerie Transformation game, which was basically a make-up competition where some sad fellows from each house had to be powdered and smothered with all sorts of garish, haunting colours and thus be transformed into.. erm.. Hellboy? At least that was Topaz's idea of a scary-looking creature.. Our house, Sapphire sent in FI as our ghost and together with a noose around her neck and a 'baby' in tow, she definitely spooked us all.. But it wasn't enough to scare away Diamond's ghost.. A slow walk and some deliberate caressing of the judges' hair sealed the top spot for their house.. Kudos to everyone, especially the ghosts! :)
I had a really good time yesterday.. And what made it better was that I didn't spend a single sen :P FI, N and R paid for my food and the haunted house admissions.. Hehe.. Who said you needed a boyfriend to have a walking ATM as your escort? :P But of course, I'll have lots of people to pay back come Evening With Diamond next semester :P
Talking about the haunted house, it was not bad at all.. Although lots of people had to wait more than an hour for a 60-second whirl inside the darkened maze.. And I'm sure lots of people were more than pissed off at me for cutting the queue.. Hehehe.. Everybody likes to call me evil.. Why not live up to expectations once in a while? :P
I managed to persuade the IT guy to open the computer labs this afternoon.. Which explains why I'm writing this blog at the moment.. I came into the lab thinking that I was pretty smart for getting to use the Internet in dire times like these.. But once I logged on, what do you know.. The chalets' computer network was functioning like normal again :P Oh well, it's still unstable as ever, so I guess coming to the lab wasn't such a waste of energy after all.. And besides, because I had told so many people about the computer labs' opening hours today, I managed to gather a small crowd here.. Hehehe.. Whatever it takes to boost my inflated ego :P
