I'm baaaaccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!
Oh my God, you cannot believe how frustrating it is to go through the most eventful 3 days of your life (well, most of those 3 days) and have nowhere to write about it.. I miss my blog!!!
To the uninitiated, I went for a trip to Pulau Kapas, organised by my house, Sapphire.. Get ready for a very long entry..

We boarded the bus at 8.30pm.. By then, I was already feeling isolated because nobody from my 'gang' was going.. The only reason I went was because I already promised F that I'd go there with her.. And when I waited for her there at the college gates, I could already feel like the odd one out..
But as soon as we stepped onto the bus, I was feeling better already.. We sat in a 25-seater bus that had chairs larger than those in aeroplanes.. They even had reclining leg rests.. The seats were so huge and comfy.. Riding in that bus, I felt like an instant VIP :)
So we began our journey to the Marang jetty.. Despite getting more than my usual hours of sleep on the bus, the constant jolts now and then kept me awake most of the time.. It was so cold inside the bus.. F even lent me her jacket when she saw me curling up like ball next to her.. Thanks! :)

We arrived at Marang at 5.30am.. I was so groggy but everyone was told to unload our bags off the bus because they were leaving us there.. So we had 3 hours to kill before the first boat was supposed to arrive at 8am.. In the end, we had to mill around a secluded, almost deserted jetty for more than 4 hours :P It took 4 boats to ferry all 40-odd of us and I was fortunate enough to ride one of the speedboats instead of the slow, time-consuming fishermen's boat..
As soon as we arrived, it dawned on me that apart from a beach and a couple of sea sports, there was nothing else there.. Coupled with the fact that there's no electricity on the island from 7.30am to 6.30pm daily, I quickly felt homesick :P
We stayed at the Makcik Gemuk Beach Resort (Translation : Fat Matron Beach Resort).. And while F, N and I waited for the keys to our chalet, I chatted up with Mak Cik Halimah a.k.a Asmah a.k.a. Makcik Gemuk herself, from what I heard from my friends.. She also owns the only shop there.. The only form of souvenirs for sale were RM20 T-shirts and pareos.. Since I didn't have that much money to spend, I bought one pareo for my mom and then I went to collect sea shells along the beach for everybody else.. hehehe.. Cheapskate :P
Once we got into our chalets at around 12pm, we noticed that they provided a broom and a mosquito net.. Hmm.. How interesting.. Since our next activity was at 5pm, we all slept, despite knowing full well that without electricity, the ceiling fan was useless.. So by the time we woke up, we were sweating profusely.. Our chalet became a stove oven.. And later on, we learned that so did everybody else's :P
At 5pm, we had beach games.. I just ran clumsily here and there while flailing my arms everywhere as my team lost our volleyball match.. The crystal blue sea water was so inviting that I just couldn't resist jumping into the water after the game.. The water was so clear that I could see my feet underwater.. I also had the chance to talk to Abang Am, the man who's in charge of all the facilities there.. He said that I should do some snorkelling.. There was also kayaking, but instead I opted for a boat ride around the island the next morning :P
At night, there was a campfire and almost everyone huddled next to it.. I decided to leave early because by then, I was already missing home too much..
