I'm on a short break until next Tuesday.. Talk about reprieve.. Man, I've been dying to get out of that college since.. well.. forever :P
Unfortunately, to enjoy the bliss of late slumbers and enormous binging, there must be a hurdle to overcome.. And in this case, it was my Physics test.. Dr. F prepared a special concoction of electrifying questions on Electricity.. By the end of the double period, my brain felt like bursting into pieces.. Heh, but then again, that's always the case every time there's a Physics test :P
For today's assembly, I was scheduled to be the MC for the Computer Club's video presentation on our job attachment in KYSM.. I took my whole lunch hour to prepare the speech, while totally putting off the loads of packing I needed to do.. And once everything was ready, F and I went to see Mr. R to show him the video but he wasn't at his desk.. Tough luck.. So F went straight to the great hall to set up the laptop and everything.. Later on, when I saw Mr. R in the hall, he was shocked that we were about to present the video and he proceeded to cancel the whole presentation.. He said that we should've shown him the video first, just in case he needed to censor off 'unsuitable' scenes, plus the head of the Computing department was absent.. As soon as I heard him say that, I felt like clouds of smoke forming out of my ears.. The guys worked their butts off just to prepare the video for today's assembly.. How dare he??
Well, OK, I admit that it's pretty much our fault as well for not showing him the video in the first place.. It's not like we didn't want him to.. Hadn't we gone to look for him right before the assembly? But still, didn't he trust us students not to come up with an embarassing footage on ourselves? Like F says, it's just another ego trip of his.. Sort of like his way of controlling things, just to make sure that they're up to his standards..
I had to apologize profusely to the assembly's MC from the Diamond house for cancelling.. And it's worst still that even our headmaster had to cut short his speech to give way to "other presentations".. Darn.. Grr.. Why do I have the feeling that Mr. R's on a mission to ruin my day..
So in the afternoon, I was on my way home.. And guess who tagged along with my mom.. It was my Aunt CD.. Apparently she ran away from her husband due to a supposedly 'major' tiff and she escaped with her toddler through the back door.. And now that she's staying over with us, she's practically taken over the whole household.. My handphone's currently held captive by her, she orders people around as if we're her maids, and she demands us, especially my mom, to listen to her sordid marriage problems.. It's taking us all the patience in the world not to kick her out of the house and send her back to solve the problems that she created herself :P My mom's even contemplating of visiting my grandmother in Alor Setar just to stay away from Aunt CD.. And coming from my mom who's the friendliest person in the world, you can imagine how chronic the situation is right now..
Oh well, at least I still have my room.. The whole house got a new paint job recently.. And now my room's a nice shade of green.. I totally love it :)
