Since I skipped my Maths class yesterday, I joined today's class in a blur.. I totally missed the P3 lesson on trigonometry differentiation and when I saw all the e's and x's and cos's and etc., my head was doing the 360-degree spin.. Then in Physics, my gang, which consists of the only 4 girls in our class, created our usual brand of havoc.. We seriously make Physics discussions look and sound like a lot of fun.. Too much fun, in fact, because both of our teachers, Mr. S and Dr. F, keep telling us off that "we shouldn't have fun in Physics class".. heh.. Too bad.. I guess we're a new breed of students.. hehe..
During assembly, the SC presented the trophies from our previous trip to KMB's sports carnival.. They even made a slideshow of the 'poor' living conditions of their dorms.. Hahaha.. Personally, I think it's a pity they didn't include pictures of their food.. That would've made a lot of our students more grateful of what we have here :P
My mom said Mr. Uncle already knows about the stolen video camcorder.. I winced when I heard her say that.. But guess what she said next.. He's going to buy me a new one.. What the.. Is there no limit to his wallet.. erm, I mean, generosity? Has he gone nuts? How the heck did he become the most giving man I've ever seen on the face of this planet? He's spoiling me rotten now that I've become his prized 'daughter'.. I know a lot of my friends would love to step into my shoes but honestly it's a bit scary.. I don't seem to reciprocate his affection towards me so whenever he gives me all these lavish gifts, I feel more and more guilty.. And I think my mom must be feeling the same way.. No wonder she keeps contemplating whether to break up with him or not..
But if you're expecting a new video camcorder, you're in for a disappointment.. My mom gave him an ultimatum not to buy me another one or else she'll stop speaking to him.. Whoaa.. And I used to think that I should be the one delivering those kind of sulking lines to somebody by now.. heh..
My cold's getting better, thanks to the 'expert' medical advice from future Dr. T and some of Z's balm.. But it wasn't helped by the strong odour of oil paint emanating from the newly repainted railings and doors.. The college is going through a facelift these past few days which includes a full-blown paint job, major cleanups and some landscaping to boot.. Why? Because the Regent of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah, is coming to visit KYUEM on March 30, 2004.. He has the credentials that would make any student gape in awe.. He did his first degree at Cambridge, his MA at Harvard and his PhD at Oxford.. Wow.. Talk about brains.. This guy's academic background sounds like the Times Good University Guide in itself :P
But there is one thing that peeves me a bit.. He's visiting because he's going to donate a bus to our college, one sole luxury which our 5-star, private, expensive college sadly lacks.. So in essence, on March 30, we're trying to portray a college which is so poor that we need somebody else to give us a bus, yet we're beautifying the whole college as if it's brand new.. It sort of defeats the whole purpose, if you ask me.. If asking for sympathy is what the college admin has in mind, frankly I feel that they're doing a miserable job at getting it..
But if a visit from a prince is what it takes to get the college cleaner and prettier, then by all means, please bring the whole royal family down to Lembah Beringin :P
