Accounts of an Adolescent

Wednesday, March 31, 2004

My classmates and I succeeded in swaying our English teacher, Mr. Z, to let us watch a movie in the Resource Centre during class.. yipeeee.. Hey, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park, OK? He has never bowed to any of our 'requests' - cancel class, no homework, etc. - before.. To me, this is an achievement worthy of note.. muahahaha :P

Today's lessons were nothing short of comical.. During Computing, E asked Mr. J's permission to use the computer to solve one of his questions.. And as soon as he finished his sentence, the whole room went dark - black out! It was so hilarious.. Everybody laughed so hard.. "Guess not, E" :P

Then in Physics, Mr. S demonstrated diffraction of light waves and M, my classmate, was assigned as an assistant.. He held the laser beam and the diffraction grating while Mr. S explained to the rest of the class.. While he wasn't watching, M did a multitude of things.. First, he moved the apparatus to create a swirling motion of lights on the white screen.. Second, he purposely beamed the lights on Mr. S's chest.. And Mr. S didn't even have a single clue!

During lunch, R and I had a pleasant surprise.. Mr. Small, our headmaster, came to eat with us at our table.. It was so exciting to get to talk to him personally.. He has always been very friendly and this afternoon's conversation just proves it further.. We ended up gossiping about the Regent of Perak's visit.. It's refreshing to actually hear the story from his perspective.. Admittedly, a lot of things happened beyond our knowledge.. Like how Raja Nazrin Shah preferred to meet the students face-to-face instead of being constantly surrounded by his entourage.. I really wanted to continue the interesting conversation with Mr. Small if it weren't for one particular student who suddenly barged in and hogged the attention all to herself :P

I went to Accounting class and I heard a revelation.. My chaletmate, A, has moved out of KYUEM! Apparently, she only told a few close friend of hers and she left all her belongings in her room to be cleared off this Sunday.. From what I heard, she got the approval from her sponsor, Yayasan Telekom, to move to Multimedia University to pursue a local degree in Financial Analysis instead of a UK degree in Actuarial Science.. Whoaaa.. And I didn't know a single thing! I mean, I know I'm the most oblivious amongst the 4 in my chalet, but.. How could I not know??? It's so awkward.. I wonder if my other 2 chaletmates know about this as well.. I don't think I'd be asking them, though, lest I might just embarrass myself further :P

I was trying to update my blog and as you read this entry, this is my 3rd attempt at writing it.. The whole IT Lab 2 had a black out again.. Twice.. Grrr..
