I managed to finish my Stats on time.. I kept remembering what T told me about how Stats questions are time-consuming.. So I made it a point to skip all the stumping questions and just be contented with a hapless looking histogram :P
So technically half of my mocks are over.. Now for the real hurdle.. Accounting.. Although the syllabus is almost 100% similar to SPM, none of it ever sticks in my head for long.. Instead of 'soaking' it all like a sponge, my brain's more like a fishing net :P The mock exam is on Friday.. I'll definitely be working on it for the next few days..
On my way to class, I kept pondering how I always felt that the two 45-minute blocks of Computing on Tuesday afternoons are always a drag.. Despite my liking for the subject, I keep wondering why time always stands still during those classes.. Maybe it's because of the double periods, so Mr. R's a bit more laidback in approach to his practical classes.. Like today, I did none of his MS Access assignments because he had run out of handbooks so I had nothing to refer to.. I'll probably do them all later.. Much later..
Nowadays, since I have no network in my laptop, I've made it a habit to hang out in IT Lab 2 after class.. Usually I'd spend a couple of hours surfing the Internet.. At the pretext (or pretense?) of working on my Computing assignments because I usually have the handbook in front of me.. But most of the time it just lays untouched on the table as I fire away on the keyboard :)
I've asked E's help to buy a new network card for me.. But he insists on me following him to Imbi Plaza to buy it.. I'm going home this weekend, so my plan is to go to Imbi Plaza straight from Shah Alam and wait for E there.. And then, as soon as I get back home, my mom will send me back to college.. Thankfully my mom's being a real angel by putting up with me.. Thanks Mom :)
Then on my way back to my chalet, I bumped into SC exco, K.. He told me that Kolej MARA Banting is organizing a sports carnival and chess is included.. So he asked me to form a team of 5 female players while our chess club president, J finds another 5 guys for the male team.. And the best part is, I bumped into K at 6.30pm.. He wants the name lists by 12.30pm tomorrow :P
Somehow you just wonder at how other people expect you to work lightning fast, disregarding the fact that you might have other immediate tasks to do.. I voiced my discontent to K and he told me to understand how the rest of the SC feels by being stuck with the job of compiling all the names.. Well, I'm sorry, but if that was the case, then why didn't he tell us all a little bit earlier?
Anyway, not that it's such a big deal since most of our members were supportive enough to join the teams.. Except one guy, of course.. Which I really don't feel like talking about now..
Where's the line that differentiates between compromise and being a pushover? Other people have their own (relatively) valid reasons, but when do we stop being accomodating and start to put our foot down? Sometimes we just follow what other people want and in the end, we sacrifice our own desires..
