We began doing our structured task in Computing, our 1st official AS assessment.. The task given by Mr. R was supposedly the easiest of all the other tasks, but I was totally stumped at it that I actually felt totally helpless.. Everybody was asking me for help but I couldn't answer it myself.. It was definitely a humbling experience for me.. That should teach me more about humility in Computing :P
Began my 1st official day as the co-director of our house's Nostalgic Malaysia play.. The play we were going to do is Madu Tiga, a very famous play about a polygamous husband who keeps 3 wives, behind the backs of his respective wives.. We held a meeting for all the juniors and we selected who would play P. Ramlee, the wives, etc.. Everybody gave their full support and cooperation which was really reassuring.. And when we later did our 1st practice, everybody had loads of fun.. Generally a successful outing for today.. Hopefully we'll be able to pull through to Sunday.. Hopefully I will..
There was this small affair regarding the selection of the leading man.. At 1st we casted R, but after a few scenes, T dragged both of us directors outside and gave her opinions - on A's (lack of) expression.. No offense to his capabilities, but to get him to perform the way we want him to, it would take more than the limited time we have, so T decided to yank H into the room to audition for the role.. M also came in to join the 'auditions'.. So R was officially chucked from the role.. We felt really bad for doing that to him but there was nothing we could do.. He was graceful enough despite the boot.. Which personally made me feel worse.. But M showed enthusiasm and considerable talent, so the change was justified..
Later on, I heard that H blew his top off for lugging him into the play.. So in a way, M's selection fell right into place :P
I've got 2 tests tomorrow.. Hopefully I won't do too badly..
