This has to be like THE best day of my life! Well, among many others :P Started off the day with a stumbling question during my Computing class which I totally didn't know how to answer.. (hey, I'm used to scoring 100% in Computing.. 1 blank answer is a big deal for me ok??)
Then in the afternoon I psyched myself up for the manifesto night.. Everybody was generally supportive with lots of 'Good luck, Dayah!' making their rounds.. Which really made me very nervous because I didn't know what the other candidates were going to say and I wasn't sure that I won't be making too much of a fool of myself :P
So there I was, with my heart palpitating madly, as I waited for my turn.. I was banking on getting the last turn but it wasn't meant to be; I was the 1st person called up for the female VP post.. So I stood there (wearing a t-shirt and slacks amongst the formally dressed candidates there :P).. And I started with the chorus to 'You Gotta Be' by Des'ree :) It was soooo cool.. I finally got to sing in this college!! Muahahahaha..
So I proceeded with my jokes.. it was actually a personality test that had something to do with animals in the middle of a jungle and I was soooo relieved that everybody laughed.. phew.. And I proceeded smoothly through the rest of my speech.. Apart from the momentary distraction provided by some stray cat backstage :P
I had the time of my life.. My other 2 rivals were equally convincing, especially when I found out that 1 of them was the Eli in Ela & Eli from Along, a famous children's program.. I'm going up against Eli!! She was doing her famous 'cook show' on stage and everybody was in stitches.. So was I.. It was sooo much fun.. Watching the VP candidates' speeches just has to be the highlight of the night..
So frankly I don't care about tomorrow's voting.. I may or may not win.. But the important thing is that I rocked the manifesto night.. muahahahaha..
