Accounts of an Adolescent

Ladies and gentlemen, drumrolls please..

I SURVIVED!

Yup, I went through 24 hours without my computer and handphone, and let me tell you this.. It was the most challenging obstacle I've ever done in my entire life.. You'll never learn how dependant you are on those wretched things until you try to pry away from them.. Even a few minutes into the challenge, I was already looking forlornly at my switched-off computer and handphone.. It took me a few hours to psych myself into accepting that my phone is dead for the day and there's no possible way that it would miraculously ring somehow..

For a good part of the day, time passed real slow.. The most difficult part was when my mom and I went out to town.. We parted ways for an hour so you could imagine how hard it was to set up our meeting time and place.. Coupled by the fact that I forgot to wear my wristwatch, I had to rely totally on strangers to tell me what time it was.. Plus, my mom conveniently forgot to tell me that she'd be 30 minutes late, so I waited.. and waited.. and waited.. and waited..

But overall, it was really fun.. The moment I switched on my phone, I received an encouraging message from FI, saying "Come on, Dayah! 2 hours to go!", sent at 10pm.. Hehehe :)

So what did I learn from this? It'll be quite a while before I decide to do something like this again.. heh :P
